I keep going back to Chad Gracey and Patrick Dahlheimer as a perfect rhythm section. I dig drummers who play toms more than cymbals and Pat just grooves with him.

Sorry I couldn't choose just one song, but for a bassist holding it together, Dahlheimer makes Live my JAM.

I saw Faces live, with Free as the opening band in 1972. "Stay With Me" was one of the best of the Faces' songs that showed off the the total GREATNESS of Ronnie Lane on the Bass. Agreed on the statement of Rod Stewart's career after Faces.

I was listening to "Stay With Me" in the car today, set on repeat.

Good ol' Canadian boys...specifically, Ontario. I was only twelve years old when this song came out...I think it even charted in the US at number 27 in 1986. Anyways, the song is great overall, but in my opinion it is one of those tunes that is really, truly carried by the rhythm section...
