Your Favorite PASSIVE Pickup Brand

Dimarzio for me, particularly the Model P. However, I may soon switch it out for a Bill Lawrence P46 as I'm curious about how it would sound. I heard a lot of good things about it.

Pick up of the month.....wow theres an idea for us electronic experimenters.... where do i sign..... LOL and SEYMOUR has never let me down .... I prefer PASSIVE pickups with a quality preamp, ACTIVE pickups are usually sealed and you are but out of luck to change them. but preamps can perform better or worse depending on the pickups output, Lower resistance measurement on the PU output equates to a hotter signal and most preamps have a design spec sweet spot relating to a pickups output level.... BUT REALLY I have expereimented outside of reccomended specs and had some interesting results, so its hit or miss. REMEMBER ....HALF YOUR ""TONE"" is your style and technique on the fretboard.... and the string freshness and insrtument setup, so consider all things being equall ....LOL or suffer the tone trap...... lol.
