What's your favorite purchase or trade from the Talkbass Classifieds? Here's mine, Bluesman Vintage P with a Jazz style neck. 95% as good as my Custom Shop J neck on my #1. Swapped the pick ups for Lindy Fralins, Badass II bridge, Hipshot D-tuner which will not see any use since I just put LaBella flats on it. 8 lbs 8 oz of warm round goodness. What's your favorite score?

Saved me from having to buy a whole new set.

That was fantastic.

That would be a tie between a couple of MTD 535s. The first cost me $2500 (the good old days) and the second I got in a trade.

Pretty sure I got all three of these from the classifieds. My Spector NS-5 CRFM, a SNCpre HAZ clone from Sheldon, and a darkglass B7K ultra. They combine from some pretty brutal tones!

A close second would my Adam Nitti signature 5 string from Ibanez. I picked up a b-stock instrument used from a fellow locally (nice gentleman) and man it's quite the bass! Modern jazz bass tone in a 5 string sound gear with wide string spacing!

Dang I just realized my older black Spector is in that picture I posted, when they used rosewood boards with dot inlays and 34" scale.. that's the only bass I ever regret selling, wish I could have it back.

This might be my favorite TB purchase of all time. It's a Monster of a Frankenstein Bass and the combination of components seem to work very well together. The seller claimed that the addition of the Aluminati aluminum neck made this bass come to life.

Franky parts:
Body - Fender Reggie Hamilton Signature Jazz body in gloss black w/tort. Note that the Reggie Hamilton jazz body is routed in a PJ configuration. You don't see that very often.

Neck - Aluminati black anodized w/2x2 headstock, 34" scale" Fender spec heel, bolt-on, black anodized aluminum neck plate, chambered for weight savings, carbon fiber fretboard, stainless Jescar frets, black Gotoh Premium tuners.

Bridge - Babicz in chrome

Electronics, Bartolini active preamp and PJ pickups from 80's - 90's?

This bass has a rich full tone with plenty of Precision punch. Sustain is very long due to the rigid aluminum neck. The neck has a "C" contour with a brass bolt-on nut for easy replacement or changing to a different string. I have a second nut cut for BEAD size strings.

No worries to the seller if he still has seller's remorse. You deserve to have first-right-of-refusal if I ever decide to sell it.

Bought this loaded body with a reversed P pickup (Duncan SPB-1) here on TalkBass.............oh man!...............probably 12 or 15 years ago. The routing in the body is for an honest to god reversed pickup and not a generalized hole. Nitro finish. Some very light evidence of relic. Paid $350.

(I added an Allparts P neck and reverse tuners and (I'm sorry.) a Fender decal.)

A great looking and sounding "parts bass". (About 8lbs 8oz.)

I currently do not own a sinlge bass I've bought in TB Classifieds. I think the only gear I even have from the classifieds is my HX Stomp, and even I got in a trade for an HX Stomp XL cause I wanted the smaller footprint.

Nice, what is the color on that one? Looks very similar to one I had custom build (It isn't, but that one is floating around TB Somewhere even though I sold it on Reverb). I had asked for Fiesta Red, but it came out looking like this. Still an awesome color, but not quite Fiesta.

My favorite purchases from TB Classifieds so far.

-Mono Dual bass bag. Great for hauling 2 basses to a gig that doesn't add alot of weight. Just has to add some foam to accommodate my short scale basses.

-Fender neck for my Musicmaster body

Direct trade of my GL LB-100 for a GL L-1000. Both great basses,but I've never been a big P bass player, and the L1k has become my ultimate P type bass. (Haven't yet played an SB-1 yet, though).
