Love that expression on Marge's and Lisa's faces! They look like they're worried about his mental state. Of course, they should have worried about that a long time before this episode!
I just found it so easy to identify with Peter Parker. He was just an average teenager who happened to get superpowers by accident. He wasn't rich, he screwed up quite a bit, he was human! He wasn't perfect.
Second favorite would be Batman, because anybody could be Batman, with proper training and enough money.
In keeping with the theme of the thread:
There was a TV series called "Whose Line is it, Anyway?", an improvisational comedy show hosted by Drew Carey.
It often featured a game called "Superheroes" which was a scene of the four actors pretending to be unlikely superheroes solving a made up world crisis.
The name of the 1st superhero would be suggested by the audience as well as the nature of the crisis. The scene would start with the 1st actor doing an imitation of his character discovering the crisis and wondering aloud how to solve it. The 2nd actor would soon join him, announcing, "I got here as quickly as I could."
The 1st superhero responds by naming the 2nd arrival, who then begins acting out his character's unlikely superpowers. The game proceeds with the arrival of the 3rd and then 4th superheroes, the last of which solves the crisis, ending the scene.
It's funny stuff, if this is your type of comedy. In my experience, people either think the show is absolutely hilarious or just really stupid.

That was a great show! Sometimes it didn't work, due to a bad mix of comedians. There was this one group though, that were amazing when they were all on the same episode.
I've done improv comedy in front of an audience.
Actually I've probably done that more in front of a paying audience than I have played music in front of a paying audience.
I was at the comic shop today looking for the new Captain America And they were sold out....
Had to buy it online but some of the variant prices were ridiculous!

I'm a big X-men fan since the 80s... and while Wolverine is certainly cool, I've always dug some of the other folks on the team over him... Colossus and Kitty Pryde quickly come to mind... but Nightcrawler has always been my fave. I just love his background, appearance and especially his powers. Teleportation... able to stick to walls... prehensile tale... full-on acrobat... and able to disappear in the dark? Tack that onto the German heritage and circus background and yeah, I just dig that cat. Long live the elf!

After deliberation, I think my favorite is also Spider-man. During a vacation to New York, my wife and I were in a souvenir shop. Lots of usual/traditional items that a visitor would buy. The only thing that stood out for me was a Spider-man t-shirt in the style of the 60s cartoon that I grew up watching. In the cartoon, Peter Parker was living in Brooklyn with Aunt May.
