Your light rig

Foggers and hazers are 2 different tools. Generally speaking, a fog machine is more of a theatric effect of billowing "smoke" where as a hazer is generally used to fill a space with "smoke", with a smaller particle size to benefit lighting effects. The principals on which they operate are different as well. They are kind of the same yet still very different. A Google search will define them more.

I didn't mean to claim that my fogger was indeed a hazer. As you said they are 2 completely different machines that function in different ways. Hazers are usually out of a bar bands budget though :(

I'm not bustin' your balls. Just clarifying a little. Hazers do indeed cost way more and a fogger can achieve similar effects at a much cheaper price. One trick too, for a fogger, is to attach some plastic tubing to the end and run it and tee off where need be, then you can distribute the "smoke" a little better.
