Your opinions on a 10" combo

Guys, I am looking for a 10" combo for practice & open mic. What do you suggest ? Time to downsize. I have a swr workingman 12 & 15 Thinking about letting the 15 go. Time to lighten up! I have not used the 15 in a long time.
Thoughts on Fender rumble, Ampeg ba110. Hartke, Eden 110. , peavey Etc. Needs to be under $200

Love the BA110 myself. Best thing to do is go somewhere and try all the combos they have.

Sadly the Gallien Krueger MB200 is $100 more than you wish to spend. Is it possible to add 100? You would open up your options to more amps.

A recommendation from JimmyM and a $30 rebate deal makes that Ampeg BA110 look mighty attractive. I played a friends Ampeg combo (albeit not the 110) and they seem like very solid little rigs with a surprisingly good tone - I say that not in a negative way, it's just that I'm used to decent bass coming out of big heavy stuff! Sweetwater reviews are quite impressive as well. Good luck in your search!

Around 50 pounds if I remember correctly. Just a little heavy for one-handed carry over any distance. There was some particle board along with plywood in the housing, unfortunately.

I have been extremely happy with my GK MB110. It sounds great, is lightweight and takes up very little floor space.

Yeah, its not that heavy, I have had issues with my back. I have to be careful. SWR WM12 weighs around 55lbs according to scale. Great sound. I need something a little smaller to take to practice. I have a SWR WM 15 can't put in my car by my self ! I guess I should keep the WM 15 & sell the 12, but I like the 12 better

I like the Rumble 40. If you could stretch out another 100 the Carvin MB10 is a beautiful lightweight 250 watt combo. Add an extension cab and gig away!

I hate to admit this, I am old school player, after Peaveys, Crates, my older SWRs, they are all heavy !! I have checked the weight on the 12" Fender Rumbles, 100 watts, 22 lbs,,,,hey, a bass amp has to be heavy to sound good !! Isn't Peavey Spanish for Heavy ?
What about a Eden EC10?

Under $200. I can't imagine there is much difference. Look used. If not and you can pick up the Ampeg for $169, it's probably a Best Buy. If it is light.

The GK is probably the only USA made. But I could be wrong about that.

Also I just remembered I played through a Fender Rumble just the other day at GC. It was nice and light and sounded pretty good.

Another vote for the Rumbles...the 40 or 100w (I really liked the V2 30 w tiltback as well...covered everything from bedroom to rehearsals on its own, it isn't anywhere near as light as the current generation.)

I have a current generation Peavey Max 110...I don't like it near as much...bulkier and not as pleasant sounding to my ear...but crazy loud for its size. I actually find it 'too loud' for apt use without headphones...I do like it better than the Warwick BC40.

Havent tried the new Hartke or Ampeg combos, but I bet they sound pretty good

It needs to be asked... have you considered the SWR WM10? I like mine.

I think I would go for an early Redhead.

I have to say that Peavey 110 is a great sounding little amp. It is very solid and it has a surprising amount of body to the sound you get from it. I can't speak for any of the others except the Rumbles much is also decent but it did not have the full tone that the Peavey had.

I was looking for the same type of combo amp as the OP and ended up picking up the BA110 V2 after trying a few different amps, the Rumble 40 was a close second, nice sound for such a lightweight amp but I preferred what I was hearing out of the Ampeg and it was $50 less after rebate to boot.

I've got an old SWR 60W cube with a twelve that rocks hard. I've used it for home, rehearsal, and small jobs. I've also got an Ampeg combo with an eight inch speaker i got for less than $100 new. I got it mostly for a headphone amp but it sounds surprisingly full on it's own.
