I don't want to derail,but I have a question. I'm about to start a Seafoam Green using ReRanch cans. It's a 78 body that I used stripper on. The body has a nice smooth wood sealer on it.Can I just shoot over this without a white primer coat? I was thinking just rough it up a bit for adhesion. Here's a pic...

I mounted a MIM Precision neck on it that plays great and has no noticable deadspots.I'll be doing the headstock also.

Sorry I only have the after picture, it was a black poly finish to start with. I just roughed up the poly, sprayed primer, then the new color.

That's the first 'unique' looking bass I've seen that I actually like the look of!

Gus G3 5 String, bought second hand in a very battered condition. Refinished by Simon Farmer of Gus Guitars. Body and neck were stripped back to the primer coat and the flaking purple/green flip finish was replaced with Simon's version of Candy Apple Red. All the metal work was re-chromed, and then re-assembled and given a fret dress. Simon said by the time he'd done the set up, apart from a small amount of wear on the fingerboard, it looked and felt like a brand new instrument. The work cost almost as much as I originally paid for the bass, but the total cost of bass and refinishe was still just over half of what the price would have been if I'd ordered the bass new.

That wrap Idea is sick! I love it. I'm wondering though how you tackled the back side of the bass since the front and edges are wrapped? Got a pick of that or mind letting me know how you dealt with that? It's something that very incing to me, just not sure how to get a seamless front to back feel...

Also my current bass has a finished neck(backside) and head that matches the body. Trying to figure out how, if doing a wrap, to finish the back of the neck to match whatever I do without interfering with the fretboard.

P.S. I'm a graphic designer so I think I can come up with a sweet wrap design to fulfill my needs.

That's OSHA-approved green parking-lot paint and a bunch of spray-on lacquer

I also took out and traded the barts+aggie obp-1 for a set of DiMarzio Ultra Jazz and it sounds awesome.
