Your "singnature" strings?

What model and make do you go for if you just need some new strings and need something you know?

For me it's the EXL170's. They haven't let me down yet!

Hi beams 45-105. I dork with all kinds of strings, but these are my go-to set.

DR Hi Beams - I can get a custom set from my tech, and I've been using .95 - .80 - .60 - .40 - .30 (high C) for a while, but recently went to .25 for the C. Not sure yet if it's my first choice...

If I was designing my own string, I would have nickel wrap on a stainless round core, and on the B, E, and A strings, there would be a taper.

But DR Hi-beams have been my favorite string for a long time running now.

DR Sunbeams 45-105 are definitely my signature string. I have been using them exclusively for about four years. You don't hear much about them, even we folks are talking up DR, but I just love the sound and feel of Sunbeams.

Labella Deep Talkin' Flats, and the older the better. I have one P-bass with 35-year-old flats on it.
