oh.. all i can think of from the top of my head..

Mmmm. An Ashdown ABM 900 EVO II head into an Ashdown 810 for my rock gigs. For my other gigs, a Bass POD Live into a QSC PLX series amp, into an Acme B2 and B2W. Add in an Aphex Bass Xciter and some kind of tubey preamp-type pedal and I'm set. For the rock stuff, an EH English Muff'n, a Keeley 4 knob compressor, Fulltone Bass-Drive, and an Ernie Ball volume pedal. Also a Radial JDI for the rock stuff, and an Avalon U5 for the other stuff. For basses, I have my Fender P's and my Stingray 5, but I'd like an original or RI '62 Jazz just to round it out.

Lovely. Nice to be able to clarify my wish list by writing it down!

My custom Warmoth/Status/DiMarzio Jazz Bass into an Avalon U5 set on preset 1. The line level output from the Avalon U5 would feed into channel one of a DPA 3600 power amp which would then feed down to a Bill Fitzmaurice DR250. The active thru output from the Avalon U5 would feed into the input of a second Avalon U5 set on preset 2 with the high cut function enabled. The line level output from the second Avalon U5 would feed into channel two of the DPA 3600 power amp which would then feed down to a Bill Fitzmaurice Tuba24.

Depending on how well I like the Bass Buddy I'm ordering tomorrow I might change out the Avalon U5's for a pair of Bass Buddies... that would solve my dilemma of wanting compression in there as well without creating too much of a monster rack :D

Why an ABM900 into an 810? Wouldn't you only use 1 side of it? Is the ABM900 bridgeable? I don't think it is, so wouldn't it make more sense to use with an ABM500 into an 810, or an ABM900 into 2 810s?

True true, a good point. The 900 isn't bridgeable, that is one thing I don't like about it, although it's pretty high powered; each side is 575W @ 4 ohms. 2 810's would be good I think!

If I had a roadie...

3x of these
