Zoom B1 Multi-effects pedal

Basically, I'm looking for a fairly cheap pedal to mess around with at home and this one seems to fit the bill.

Seems pretty reasonably priced for what you get and reviews seem to be decent. However, i obviously trust fellow TB'ers opinions over anyone else in the world.

So have you guys got anything good or bad to say about it?

I've had one for 3 years. Nice pedal, quality knobs and foot switches.
Effects are decent and can be tweeked to your liking.
I have used it live and it was decent, I like it in my studio because it's a metronome, tuner,effects, and 40 drum patterns with tempo adjust.Very handy for teaching also.
I paid $90. new. They new version has volume pedal and USB output which gives you more fun.

The zoom b series are some of the best bang for the buck available as far as multi effects go, IMO. I have the b2 and it's served me well. Are they the end all be all when it comes to effects? No, but for the price, sounds you can get and what they can do. There well worth it compard to others, IMO.

I had the b2 and used it on stage as well. Great for the money. Effects were fun and decent, and the additional features (tuner, drum loops, headphone out) made it a great tool to practice at home. The thing felt pretty sturdy as well. Definitely recommended.

I also have the B2; I love it, and use it regulary.
The only thing that I don't like about it...there is no auxillary input for MP3's etc. I don't know if the B1 has an aux input or not.

After I own VT Bass, I never look to B1 again. The sound of B1 is fair. I cannot dial the sound that I want from it. And after using it for 1 year, there is noise after connect the jack.

I've had one for well over a year. I like the tuner and I like the sounds you can get. I'm not after the elusive perfect tone. If it doesn't suck, then the crowd doesn't care. I use mine live and just for the tuner it is worth it.

i'd go b2 if you can swing it. the b1 is ok but i think the b2 is a little better. i don't use mine much anymore but i do occasionally use it when i need an effect i don't already have in pedal format.

The B1 is okay but if you can spend a few more bucks the B2 has more useful features and will last a bit longer. The B2 offers more control and better sounding efx, a better mix section and 6 bands of EQ.

Awesome! Thanks for the replies guys. I'll check out the B2 and see if i can afford it. Sounds like the B1 would be a decent enough Plan B though.

I've been using the B2.1u for a good time now. Some if the smaller buttons are getting tougher to press, but I gigged with it for more than two years.

I'm finally decided on how I want to build my first pedalboard and it's thanks to this multi-effect.

Been using the B1 for a couple of years, for the money it is a great pedal, and with the built in drum loops it is great for practice.
