I have recently bought a Zoom B3.
The installation manual for the driver says:
- I should be running at least firmware v. 1.10 on the B3 (I am running 1.20, so that's fine)
- During the first part of the installation, there should be nothing at all connected to any USB port, not even the B3 itself (I unplugged everything, so that's also fine)
So the first part went as expected: I clicked the driver, gave Windows the ok to install it, agreed with the terms etc. and in the end I got a message saying "InstallShield Wizard Completed", everything exactly as in the manual.
Then I am supposed to go to part two. The manual says:
"Next, connect the G-Series to the computer using a USB cable.
When G-Series is connected to Computer, 'Installing device driver software' will launch and it finish automatically."
Well, I tried following the steps above three times and nothing at all ever happened when I connected the B3 to the PC. But in spite of that, after each installation I could find the shortcut to the driver and I can open it as a fully installed program.
So, is the driver installed and working or not? How can I know?
