I think Zoom was a little heavy with the character of the SVT when the speaker sim is turned up. Dial it back to around 60 - 70 for use with in-ears or DI to PA. Turning the bass down a little helps as well, none of the SVTs I've played through sound as strong as the B3 sim.

I think Zoom was a little heavy with the character of the SVT when the speaker sim is turned up. Dial it back to around 60 - 70 for use with in-ears or DI to PA. Turning the bass down a little helps as well, none of the SVTs I've played through sound as strong as the B3 sim.
Hope I'm putting this question in the right place... did many searches, so here goes.
Can't get my new B3 to show up on the Edit and Share program. Partly it does, in the 'devices' tab, but doesn't show on the top graphic display.
Tried:
restarting everything
reinstalling the E&S program
installed the ASIO driver
reinstalling the driver
Got it to work first time in my garage computer, which is a POS 32bit win7 desktop. Trying in my home computer which is a 64bit win7 more modern desktop, and no joy.
Would love any help... thx.

I haven't had this issue since I upgraded to Windows 10, but I did experience it on x64 Windows 7. The work-around involved leaving the B3 connected to the computer and restarting - it made whatever connection that Edit & Share needed whenever it "found" the new device on boot-up.
You may also want to try powering the pedal with its power cord instead of relying on power over the USB cable from the PC.
Thanks very much for the reply- I will try leaving it connected and then reboot. I did however try both powering the B3 with the USB, and with its AC adapter- no difference.

It seems to recognize that it's there, but there is no communication. No display of the patches etc on the PC.
Quite frustrated- anybody have any other ideas?

It works fine on my 64 bit windows 10.
On another note, I tried out the zoom b3 as a preamp yesterday during practice through a hartke cab. Pleasantly surprised at the amount of thud I could get from it with an svt preamp and some light compression. However, it doesn't cut through the mix : compared to the piano, I sound quite drowned. Anyone have tips on how to get a more cutting tone?

I've loaded the Zoom Edit & Share software. When I go to start the program, I get a dialogue box as noted;

I'd try uninstalling the Edit&Share software, rebooting, then reinstalling the Edit&Share. (Don't recall if you need to have the USB from the B3 connected during installation.)
If the problem happens with the B3 connected to your computer, you might also check if your firmware is up to date.
Thanks for the response. I uninstalled, then reinstalled the program. I even removed all installations of C++ Runtime, and installed the latest software for C++ Runtime. Still no luck.
I went ahead and installed the Edit and Share software on my Mac Notebook Computer, and was able to use the program without any problems. I'm good to go now. Again, thanks.
