Zoom B3 problem

I've been using a Zoom B3 for a few years now, but on the last couple of gigs it has produced a hideous feedback like squeal (since I do sound as well, this has had me diving at the PA to stop the squeal until I realised that it was my bass!). It's intermittent, but it's definitely the Zoom because it's done it with different basses, different leads, different amps, and taking the Zoom out of the signal chain stops the squeal for the rest of the night. None of the patches have been changed, so...

Has anyone else had anything like this? If so, is it a quick fix like a firmware update or something deeper? If it's a quick fix I'll do it, otherwise I'll bin it and wait for the B3N

The first thing I would try is a factory reset. Hold the Store/swap button down while powering up. You'll be asked to confirm you want to reset. Remember to back up any custom patches you have before doing the reset. I have done it once because something was sounding weird (can't remember what sorry, but don't think,it was your problem) and it fixed it.
