Zoom Handy H1 mono or stereo input?

I've been thinking about picking up the Zoom H1. I've read some good reviews on it, especially when used with the built in mics. But nobody has addressed, not even the Zoom website, if the mic/line input is mono or stereo. Any TB'ers know for sure?
Recording band practice with the mics would be nice, but sometimes I like to use a stereo feed from the mixing board.

Well then....have you emailed or called Samsontech? Maybe they'll tell you. I agree they ought to have this info published already.

My H2 has the same external mic input...its mono as is predictable for a mic input. Also, plugging into that jack disables the onboard mics, FWIW.

Yeah, I emailed Samsontech, still no reply.
Samsontech website states: "1/8-inch external mic input"

I just ordered one. So in about a week or so I'll report back with my findings.

Yes, the mic/line input is stereo!
I received the H1 today and tested the 1/8" mic/line input with a pair of stereo mics and a stereo feed from my Mackie board - both recorded in stereo. Nice unit, easy to use and sounds good!!!

Anyone else using these? Sounds like a killer way to record shows/rehearsals with minimal fuss. And only $100 from AMS!

Would love to hear a sound clip of a live, loud, rock band.

Sorry to drag up an old thread! But can the Zoom H1 record in dual mono? I.e. if i plug in a mono lavalier mic will it record to both channels?

I have a Tascam DR-05 that has this feature (you can actually switch between mic type, mono or stereo, and it records to both channels with mono). I'd like a Zoom as it is much smaller than the Tascam.
