Can't find a name too. I think the popular single is a remix of what I believe is a live recording in Guadeloupe on the original album. I think the bass is rerecorded, probably by a nameless mercenary on a Paris studio payroll.

It just might be Luc Leandry, Zouk singer, multi instrumentalist and bass player. Shared the same zouk scene in Paris around that time. Maybe a search in French might help?

You think it's Etienne? It could be him since he often plays these rythmic twists. I have his Misiya album, to me he's one of the greats.
