Frankly, the fEarless just stomps the GR. The Thunderchild is clearly better as a balanced "hi-fi" cabinet. The GR has the usual humps and bumps that
make it sound full, but it is, to me, a tailored sound and not an attempt to provide a flat response. The 212 is far better than the 112 in that sense and I think you'll like it.

If you can find a Heartfield (Fender) DR5 they have a 2 octave neck with every fret easily reachable. Fender had them made in a good quality factory in Japan. 19mm spacing, great balance with a not at all chunky neck. I replaced the pickups with Nordstrand electronics. Plays like butter with a very stable neck.

Excuse me for interrupting your Saturday, but I'm told by @B-Mac on the Eastwood Bass Club that you own or owned an Eastwood Hi-Flyer bass (which as far as I can tell, is also their Side Jack model). Can you tell me about it?...Tone...Pickups...output...playability...quality? Also, is it a neck-through bass? Thanks in advance.
