Do you have a G&L bass and have trouble getting correct intonation because the screws provided for E, A, and D strings are too short to allow for correct intonation? I had that problem too so I bought 50 stainless steel flat head filister screws in M4 size that will allow for perfect intonation of any G&L bass made after they switched to metric screws(2008 I believe). Contact me if you need the screws and I will send some to you for cheap. I have plenty. I just set up my 2010 G&L JB with the new intonation screws and it is in perfect intonation and the screws look like the stock ones except for being flathead instead of phillips head. Cheap fix for other G&L players out there.

Thank-you for making these screws' available for us owners of G&L basses. I've been putting off going to my local hardware store to find, not longer screws but shorter ones. I have 2 vintage Wunkays and the intonation screws on the G and D are too long! I don't wanna cut the original intonation scews shorter. Instead, I've been pushing the saddles backward with the screws somewhat poking past where they should seat to get correct intonation.

I have had some interest so let me add more info:
Step 1: what year is your G&L? Can you verify that the intonation screws you have now are M4 size? I want you to get the correct screws.
Step 2: I found that the stock springs were not long enough when using longer screws. So I have those too.
Price?
If you just want 4 screws I will do it for $6 shipped. If you want screws and longer springs make it $10 shipped I take paypal.

I thought about posting this in the G&L threads, but since we're on the subject I thought I'd post here.
I don't notice the intonation springs being too short as much as I've had problems with them being too weak.
I own a '08 L2000 Trib and every time I try to move the saddle in towards the neck the saddle doesn't move, rather it brings the head of the screw out of the heel of the bridge.
It's quite weird because I have no issue with my Badass bridge equipped basses.
I usually have to apply a good bit of pressure on the screw to effectively move the saddle, isn't that what the springs are for?
Does anybody else have this problem? Am I doing something wrong?

Are you loosening the strings prior to adjustment? You may need to give the saddle a little push to help it move towards the neck. Other than that I would have to see the bass. If you still have a problem you may want to have a professional look at the bass.

I have the strings tuned to pitch whenever I make intonation adjustments.

Could be that I just have to manually seat the saddles rather than assuming that their always going to go back at the turn of the screw.

You need to loosen the strings, adjust the intonation, retune to pitch then check intonation. Repeat until it is corret.
