For sale Vintage 83 Carvin LB50K

Nice. The LB50 is a fantastic rock bass, and really great bass in general with a lot of tonal options.

Those old carvnis have some real '70's charm!

There is some fret wear, nothing too bad

Few notes:
Hypothesized year; 1983 according to serial number research, maybe 82 or 84.
A plethora of tonal possibilities, clear singles to warm, meaty buckers, even thin phased out wank if that's what you need.
8.4 lbs, nut is 1.5", E & G are 1.25" apart
Koa body, ebony fretboard, brass nut, unsure of neck material, the '83 catalog isn't specific, either Koa or stained maple, color is slightly different from body and obvious grain pattern difference.
Non original hard case.
Now the boo boo's
the bottom of the mop carvin on headstock is sort of lifting up, it's flaked the poly slightly.seems stable, hasn't changed in a decade.
At the very bottom of the ebony fretboard , there is a little crack. It gives some character, is stable, hasn't changed in a decade.
Around the back of neck near joint, front upper horn , front between fretboard and pickup there are cracks in the poly. I was finally able to capture them in the flash. They seem stable and haven't increased or changed in a decade.
Bridge pup was professionally rewound a decade ago shortly after I purchased it.
There's average fret wear on bass, I tried to pic but it doesn't show well.

The neck is slim and fast, all electronics work, coil taps and phase, I've played with the stereo outs a few times, all it does is give each pup it's own output.cool for recording maybe.
There's a few scratches an dings here and there,light buckle marks , nothing to write home about on a 32 year old bass, it's actually pretty pristine. I've cherished it and taken great care of it since 2004, all the ouchies came with it and a dead bridge pup.
I might sell outright if I promise me to buy another bass with the proceeds!
