This bass is the quintessential jazz bass on steroids! Because of the pickup selector switch (neck/both in series/both in parallel/bridge), it not only can do the Marcus thing, it can also sound like any other bass you wish to cop. Switch it in passive and the tone signature changes altogether to a more raw, more vintage tone.

8.5 lbs on my digital bathroom scale.

Good Lord! Why the heck is this here bump. This bass is stunning! A SUPER Jazz if you will, gosh I wish I had some disposable income again. Come on people. I feel your pain man I'm dealing with"issues" as well.

I just got a Skjold. There is not a finer craftsman out there. His basses have every bit of the fit and finish as the best of the best. Super deal, GLWTS.

The only Skjold I've ever played was Damian Erskine's and it was stellar! He's on my"short list" of luthiers/basses to own someday.
