This was my first vintage bass purchase. Bought this one from a TB member a few years back. Played and loved since then.
1976 Fender Precision Bass
B neck, but slim profile
Original body, neck, tuners and neck plate only.
Refinished at some point
Lindy Fralin pickup
CTS aftermarket pots
Threaded saddle reissue bridge
Reissue knobs and tug bar and pickguard
LaBella 760FM strings
Weighs 8 lbs 4 oz
Brass nut
Lots of play wear
Big, ugly route under the pickguard. See photo. Cover holes redrilled
I used a shielding plate under the pickguard to better hide the route. Finish scratches and wear. Wear on both sides of neck and a bunch of little dings and dents in finish.
The good news: she is an excellent player and looks killer. Light weight. Resonant. Low action. And the Fralin pickup sounds amazing.
Great for the first time collector or for someone who wants a vintage player for cheap that they don't have to worry about banging around on stage.
