Okay. I have way too many nice basses sitting around for a middle-aged dude who only plays on his couch. So... this one has to go.

Up for sale is a beautiful, 1999 Modulus Quantum 5, w/ OHSC. The bass is truly a closet queen with no blemishes that I can find. It sounds and plays amazingly well. One of my favorites of all time (if I didn't already have an Alembic Elan 5, I wouldn't let this bass go).

As far as issues go, there isn't much of note. The pickup blend knob is a little harder to turn in comparison with the other knobs, but it's fully functional and makes no noise. The case has a small dent in the corner. That's it! The bass has a truss rod, is 35" scale, has 17.5mm spacing, and comes with the stock Bartolini pickups and preamp. That said, she is 16 years old and is being sold as-is.

Price lowered to $2400 shipped CONUS. Sorry, no trades.

I honestly have no idea. There is a piece of hand written tape on the side of the case from the previous owner (or perhaps Modulus) that says bubinga, but I'd take that with a grain of salt since I don't know its providence. I believe the fretboard is phenolic. Of course, I can't call up Modulus and ask them (any idea if Planet Waves would have access to the old serial number database?).
