Details

This is a unique and cool custom Jazz style 5 string with some special features. I was using it as my tour bass up until recently but just got a new Stambaugh 5er recently and going to start touring with that, so this one is up for sale. I've got too many basses anyway.

Body is a Warmoth Jazz in swamp ash, lighter weight and a nitro Amber finish. The body features a Hipshot style D bridge, and Cirrus VFL pickups. If you've ever yearned for a 34" scale Cirrus, this is something you'd be interested in! Controls are standard V/V/T.

The neck was made by Chris Stambaugh and features a wonderful slab of cocobolo for the fingerboard along with Hipshot ultralite tuners. It's a different take on a Jazz 5, and sounds really great. I've also got a hardshell case that (depending on agreed upon price) I could include for a small up charge. Feel free to ask any questions.

Forgot to mention:

Body is outfitted with recessed Dunlop StapLocks (strap is included), and also electronic setup includes a "kill" switch so you can set up pickup blend and mute easily.

Looks very interesting. What's the weight?

It's adjustable, I've got it set ~17mm, which is more-or-less nominal. It can go +/- .5mm, IIRC. If you're looking for a moderate (think MM) or tight (think Ibanez) spacing, this would work well. If you're looking for a wider spaced 5er, this ain't it.

I've asked our soundman if he has any board tapes. Sound is roughly Jazz-like but with more heft. The VFLs are great pickups.
