Really amazing bass. Just decided I prefer 33 to 34 scale basses. One of the best craftsmanship I've seen. Nice light and well balanced. Ebony board, three piece maple neck, mahogany body, original case. Tone wise is a modern, articulate jazz bass tone that works in any mix. Very strong B - one of the best I've played.

I'll take a Drozd over any of the 40 something Fodera's I've owned in the past. Even those triple layer wood pickups covers have the same radius as the fingerboard.

Is this 34 or 35 scale? I believe most of the Excellency's from this period were 35 scale.

Does the bass have a zebrawood top?
Is the finish oil , matte or gloss?

Are you sure the body is mahogany and not Etimoe?
In What year was it born ?

It's a matte finish, similar to the foderas I've had
2004 model
Was told by person I bought it from is mahogany.
Sounds really amazing. Clear, full and 3D tone
Around 9 lbs.

Yes. This is definately a bass on par with the mtd usa and foderas I have. Just have too much gear at the moment! Someone will get a great bass for the money. Tone is warm, clear and articulate. The best B string of any bass I've played.
