I’m not sure about the Super 55s. I’m thinking the SCNs were his last collaboration with Fender before focusing solely on his own line with Wilde Pickups. He had also designed a lot of pickups for Gibson in the 70s.

It’s a shame what happened with him losing his own company name and people buying “Bill Lawrence “ pickups thinking they were getting his pickups when in fact he was no longer associated with the company he founded.

I used to go see Bill playing guitar in his jazz trio when he had a semi regular gig at Windows On The Cumberland in Nashville in the early 90s.
