For sale Fender Samarium Cobalt Bass Pick Ups

I have a set of these. Nice and quiet with all the Jazziness you would expect.

I have a set of these in a MIM Fretless Jazz with a series/parallel push/pull pot and love them. They were designed by the late Bill Lawrence, pick up designer extraordinare.

I didn't know that! That's awesome! Do you know if he had a hand in designing the second generation noiseless Super 55's?

I’m not sure about the Super 55s. I’m thinking the SCNs were his last collaboration with Fender before focusing solely on his own line with Wilde Pickups. He had also designed a lot of pickups for Gibson in the 70s.

It’s a shame what happened with him losing his own company name and people buying “Bill Lawrence “ pickups thinking they were getting his pickups when in fact he was no longer associated with the company he founded.

I used to go see Bill playing guitar in his jazz trio when he had a semi regular gig at Windows On The Cumberland in Nashville in the early 90s.
