Affordable, player-grade vintage!

This is an all wood precision bass copy made my Kramer in the early 80s. It has a one piece maple neck (neck and fretboard are the same piece of wood) and I believe it has a poplar body. From what I've read the hardware and electronics were made by Schaller. The pickup is a Dimarzio copy and it sounds amazing. Has volume and tone control as well as a series/parallel switch. Cosmetically this bass is a little rough, it's definitely been played. Scuffs, scratches, finish cracks, cigarette burns, oxidation... if you like relic'd basses this one's for you. The only thing that might affect playability is some scratching behind the neck around the 10th fret. I assume someone did this as a marker for their left hand, It just feels like some texture when your thumb goes over it. Frets still have a lot of life. Will probably need a polish soon, but still plenty of metal there. Very light weight, previous owner said it was 8.1 lbs. I don't think it's quite that light, but I definitely think it's under 9 lbs (I don't have a scale, sorry). Nut is 1 5/8" and it is brass. Also, if you're picky about having a super tight neck pocket... this may not be the bass for you.

All in all a very good bass for the money. I've tried to get some good pics showing the cosmetic damage and be as open as possible about the condition. Price is $400 shipped in an absolute tank of a hardcase. No trades please. Any other questions let me know!

Great bass! I have 2 of these, a double J and a super pj. The necks on these are extremely stable and consistent up and down, this is a great bass!

I don't own a scale, but it is definitely under 9 lbs. Place I bought it from said 8.1 lbs, but I think it's a bit heavier. Around 8.5 maybe
