Excellent condition Musicman Caprice bass,
would like to trade for a Eminence electric upright bass. Can add cash, especially if with flight case, etc.
Not sure I want to do this, this bass is epic. The fit and finish on it is amazing. I have to say, this is probably the best P/J bass I’ve ever played, the pickups are balanced really well.
And look at that grain on the body and neck, the body is perfect, and the neck is almost a quarter sawn cut.

Details-
Tobacco Sunburst, Tortoiseshell pick guard, Alder body, Maple neck, Rosewood fret board. Original Musicman Caprice hardshell case.

Only other trades, are for Alembic basses, an Elrick Icon P, or possibly US made Lakland’s :)

Thanks for looking,

Jimmy

Any interest in trading for a Stingray? Same fit and finish but with a thicker neck and a single pickup. Here's a listing for the bass I have. (I also have one in black).

No thank you, I’m specifically looking for one of these elusive passive basses. If I can’t find one, I’m going to keep the Caprice.
*Edit*
The reality is, I just want to buy a Cutlass and keep the Caprice. So I’d have both, but the Cutlass are so hard to find at this point, I’m willing to trade this one out.

My bad, but on eBay it gets lots of exposure. Next time I'll PM.
I was kidding. I was the highest bid when you made that comment initially. I was actually the highest bid up until the last few seconds… typical eBay scoop right at the last second…
I can’t believe how hard these basses are to come by at this point. I had a chance to get one locally for a grand a year and a half, or two years ago, and I passed. I didn’t realize how great they are. I can’t believe they were taken out of production. Awesome passive basses.

That kills me, I don't even bother with eBay anymore because of this crap. Hopefully you will get lucky and find one soon!

Good luck in your search. I scored one on Reverb recently. It popped up as I was driving and I pulled over and bought it immediately. Lol.
They are very elusive and I think it's because they are just so good. Probably the best neck I have ever played.

It’s crazy. I just reached out to Ernie Ball to see if they’ll just make me one. This Caprice has a better neck and tone than basses I’ve paid a lot more for… that’s why I’m so into scoring a Cutlass. They should at least release them like they’re doing the Joe Dart basses, like 50 at a time, or you can reach out to the factory and get them made…
