Peavey GV in really fine condition. The finish is in great condition but does have some small impressions that do not break the finish. You have to really look closely to see them and I was not able to photograph them except one that is visible near the strap button on the photo showing the back of the bass. The neck does show the basket weave but is very difficult to photograph. Probably due to the limited skills of the photographer!
The bass weighs in at 9 pounds, 1.5 ounces on my postal scale. The Peavey hard case is one that looks similar to the cases provided with Cirrus basses but the interior fits the Millennium and the GV. I assume it would also fit a Foundation 2000 which shares the same body shape. The body is made of Alder and that probably contributes to the sweet tone of the bass.
The necks on these basses is actually a wood neck that has a graphite shell. The necks were made for Peavey by Bell and Carlson which is a company that makes graphite gun stocks. The neck uses the superior (IMO) truss rod wheel similar to the Millennium basses. The bass is set up with low buzz free action and plays and sound wonderful indeed. The fingerboard is Pau Ferro as used on the Cirrus and USA Millennium basses.
The electronics are the same as the Cirrus basses and sound terrific. The controls are master volume, blend, bass, mid and treble. The bass is all original with the exception of the upgraded control knobs and strap buttons.
PayPal is okay. I will split the shipping costs with the buyer. The cost of fuel has caused shipping costs to increase so splitting the cost seems the best way to handle it.
