It pains me to consider letting it go, but I am building my own basses, and no longer using 5 strings. It may be time.

This bass is like home. Believed to be built in 2012. This is a fantastic example of G&L awesomeness.
from the entry I put in the registry:

CLF57447 L-2500 Silver Metal Flake Ebony Alder Saddle-Lock #10 C profile, Med Jumbo Frets, Ebony Board NO fret markers,Bound(white), Side Dots, Matching Headstock, GraphTech Nut, "K" Mod:: No date stamp? neck, neck pocket, or in pickup cavities.

There is NOTHING about this bass I don't LOVE!

Swiss Army knife bass. I play it Passive. The onboard 2 stage line driver makes for a monster output. The passive cut only PTB circuit (passive treble/bass cut only) with the massive MFD humbuckers, coil split (kmod)
And the series OMG circuit provide enough usable tone options to put you in a constant state of AWE.

The attention this bass attracts is amazing.
It is beautiful, and brash. Comfortable.
The B IS great. Sets up really low.

Marty Bell silver metalflake with matched headstock.
White Bound markerless ebony board.
Kmod.
With G&L case (not pictured, but in great condition)
Under 10 lbs.
Dunlop dual design strap pins.
Nearly flawless (I can't find any)
Black Tusq hand cut nut.

When you have a Marty Bell flake job on a incredible G&L as this one, YOU DO NOT SELL IT, got me!! This would be the biggest mistake in your life, and I don't care how many ex-wives you have. Since you are building your own now you need a perfect bass as a bench mark. This is just my opinion but I made that mistake once and it took me years and a lot of coin to get her back, just think about it some more before it's too late.

I hear you loud and clear.
Also, that's why I'm looking at trades.
It's also a crime to let it sit, unplayed except at home. It was a co #1 with the Dolphin for my live play for a decade.
I'm not performing as frequently, and have no call for 5's when I do.

I had the honor of working at G&L in the 80s.
With Leo, :) 30 feet from me.

This is, by all research the ONLY example of this combination of features to leave the factory. It is BBE Era, but it is fantastic.

Although it will probably be too late! :D :( :D I don't see this sitting here for too long. Good luck with the trade/sale, my friend!

Gawd. Damm. THAT …is stunning. Fender Avenue awesome, even the first gen SB-1 looks hawt!
The SB1 has passed on to another player.
My initials were on its neck too.. :)
But my collection was getting to massive proportion. And I needed funds to build my shop. And buy machinery and materials.

This beauty on the other hand, needs to be played. I want to pass it along to another who can appreciate its unique aspects and make it sing regularly.

Oh no you don't !!! No one will come see you anymore. You thought it was your playing or your beautiful singer. No. It was all that glitter. I absolutely refuse to let you sell this bass. Sell your first born...your dog...your pickup. No. You do this and I will personally come to the valley cuz you'll have one coming.

FYI, Delano's was an excellent suggestion and have used on my last several builds including a mini. Thanks Dude. Now go sell something else.

Make it yours. Don't put Delanos in this one.
