Details

Like new Maui blue, still has plastic on the pickups! Just picked this up a few weeks ago for a fun project that promptly fell apart, and I have too many Ps, so last in first out. I’m giving TB first crack before I return it within the window for doing so.

This MIJ Precision in International Maui Blue really pops in person and it’s relatively lightweight at a hair over 8lbs.

$850 (was $950) shipped CONUS

SPECS:

Vintage-Style Cloverleaf Tuners

1.578" (40 mm) bone nut

Maple Neck with 34" Scale Length

Neck Depth .81" at First Fret and .94" at Twelfth Fret

20 Medium Jumbo Frets

Indian Rosewood Fingerboard with Dot Inlays and 9.5" Radius

1 Split-Coil Precision Bass Pickup

Top Load Bridge with 4 Chrome Saddles

Basswood Body in Maui Blue Finish

Yes, standard 1 5/8” width (EDIT: website I got the original specs from stated 1 5/8”, however upon measuring and according to Fender it’s 1.578”) . I’m getting 8.2ish lbs on the bathroom scale.

That’s interesting. Fenders website states the spec for the neck is 1.578”. Nice weight. Everyone I have seen is low.

I bought the same one from fender and just sent it back as it had a crack on the finish by the bridge plate. This was only 7.4lb on the bathroom scale. You can see photos on my previous post. Hopefully they’ll send me a new one without defects and a little more weight as 7.4 was causing quite a lot of neck dive

This is not that bass, does not have that issue.

Didn’t mean to imply that, just trying to keep the thread on topic.

Tbh, I’m a maple board guy, but this one is one is nice and dark, feels great. I wish I had room in the stable. My first bass was a Squier Series in this color and I’d love to keep it for nostalgias sake, alas the credit cards says nope.

Specs are in the description.

I saw the specs you wrote which is why I’m asking twice. 1 5/8” = 1.625”. I’m not trying to be difficult, but that’s different than the specs that Fender states, which is 1.578”, almost a jazz width neck. Fender either has the wrong specs on their website or you have a wrong measurement.

Thanks for the photo. Looks like 1.5", same as a jazz.
