Details

This Kubicki Factor fretless bass is from the Fender Custom Shop era. It's in fine playing condition and has great tone with selectable passive and active circuits with a rotary selector switch. The switch does have an audible pop at one point when switching, but the circuit is otherwise totally quiet with smooth functioning EQ and volume pots. The drop D capo works beautifully. If unfamiliar, this extension of the E string allows the player to make the open string drop to a D note while maintaining all other notes at their normal position.

The multi-ply laminated neck is super stable as was intended by the design. The ebony fingerboard feels smooth and fast. The body shows some buckle rash on the back and there are some light scratches and small dings on the top, but the finish is otherwise in very good condition.

The bass comes with its original Fender style hardshell case.

Sweet baby Jesus..... As an old man that has owned a couple Kubicki Factor's in my life starting back in the day when they were the rage, I never new this existed and never even thought about a fretless version being out there. This has to be sort of rare? I'm not even a fretless player, but if I had the scratch, I'd buy it. Sorry for the long non-buyer post. That is beautiful and GLWTS!!!!!!

I’ve seen one other fretless with the drop D capo and one that’s just a standard 4 string.
