Offering up my beast. Sunburst Peavey T-45 with a Dark Star pickup. Tone monster. I had the DS installed 2 years ago and it's awesome. I got the wiring harness from Bayou cables, also got the cool Dark Star logo on the headstock from them too.
This bass has had Pyramid flats on there since I bought the bass four years ago. This is one of the most comfortable necks I've played too. Dead straight neck. Low, buzz free action. The A string nut slot was filed too low by a previous owner so I wrapped a bit of cardboard around the string and it fits in the slot fine now. Not a problem. You could easily get a new nut if you wanted to.
The T-45 normally had 3 knobs on the front of the bass with the instrument jack on the bottom side. As you can see, I changed that. I filled the original jack hole with a dowel, wood filler and sanded smooth, then painted it black. It blends in well and can only be seen up close.
The condition of the bass speaks for itself. It's in excellent cosmetic condition. No pitting on the bridge saddles or tuning keys. There is some flame in the body finish. Gorgeous sunburst blend.
As stated, I've only used flats on this particular bass so the frets are in excellent condition. I forgot to take pics of the area where I filled the hole in. I'll take some and add them later today.
I get pure McCartney tone out of this bass. Wings era. You don't need a Rick 4001 to achieve that tone. You have it right here.
For trades, I'm looking for a nrmt-mt T-40. I've got a natural T-60 guitar so I'm looking to have one of each.
