Ya know, I have seen a good handful of folks on the TB forums with regrets from having sold a bass that they loved.... and I might be part of that group down the road. Only time will tell but because I have my eye on another bass I'm forced to sell this sweet Warmoth P Bass. But it's not an everyday Warmoth build. I have built a few of them and sold them with the idea of going into that line of work and after losing money on all but two basses I changed my mind and this is the last one I built thinking it would be mine forever. Here are the deet's:
1. Alder body
2. Birdseye neck and fingerboard
3. Hipshot Ultralight tuners
4. Fender bridge with knurled saddles. (for better string placement over the pole pieces)
5. Lindy Fralins new split single coil pup (this thing kicks ass)
6. Mallory .1 mfd tone capacitor
7. CTS 250 k tone & vol. pots
8. Switchcraft jack
9. Hand carved bone nut
10. Warmoth Tort guard ( I had to re-shape it for this build)
Now ... I have always finished my builds myself in Nitrocellulose Lacquer, but Warmoth had this body already done in the weight and color that I wanted anyway. But after getting the neck I wanted the headstock to match so I finished the headstock myself in Nitrocellulose Lacquer. Except for the body all finish work and assembly was done by me. It is strung with TI Jazz Flats. It has Med.-Low action and the intonation is spot on.
I finished it just before my move from Austin to the Milwaukee area. It is in fact about 5 months old and is in ex. condition and comes in a like new decent Fender gig bag. $780.00 or best offer and I'll ship it for free in the lower 48 States only. Like I said this is a good one folks so if I get a lot of low ball offers I'll just keep it and my GAS will have to wait. I wont give this one away. As for the tone..... think deep, thick, no mud and a clear upper register. And more pic's to follow.
