**This was a special order, everything on this list was built and installed by FBass, and delivered as shown. This is probably the best sounding 5 string fretted I've ever played through an amp and DI'd. But I asked for it with a Black Ebony board (The person at FBass told me they had 'Dark Indian Rosewood' and it would be better for the Fender sound, and would look the same as Ebony...He really didn't give me a choice to be honest). Also I asked for a Black Burst, and sent a picture of another bass I had for reference, to which the person at FBass said Charcoal was the correct order. I was really upset when it came in Brown with a Brown board, especially as this bass is very expensive, but it sounded just as good, if not better than the one at the Aguilar booth at NAMM that year, so I took it. (This is not Bass Central's fault what so ever, those guys are amazing so ALWAYS check them out!),
**I'm selling it as I just don't play it, I still only play fretless and my MTD535 and my American Fender Jazz V with and unlined Ebony board get all the love. This Bass has less than 30 hours of playing time on it, never gig'd with it only brought it out of the house once, as an alternate to practice with Roddy. It's in perfect condition. For some reason there is no demand which is why the price is so low.
**You can see by the bridge in the production run picture that this is in fact the bass there.
Remember, me playing it is not going to sound like you playing it. I always found it odd that people asked to hear it first, but with someone else playing it.
If asked about the sound I would reply "It's like the best sounding Fender ever".
