This is a fresh from the shelf, bought before three moves and stored safely away for five years Gibson Short Scale Thunderbird from the limited production in 2011. This one was built on April 4th of that year and is in near perfect condition. This link (identical the earlier one) will take you to the manufacturer home page for the instrument. It is as it says, and just to reiterate; not a 34" scale instrument.
I have played it about eight times and had intended for it to be a niche bass in the lineup that never happened. It plays and sounds fantastic and hasn't even been broken in yet.
The bass comes with the original case, as pictured. The top corner of the case has a smudge of what looks like paint from the inside of the storage crate and it appears to be removable, though at this point I don't want to try and run the risk of actually damaging the case.
I understand there will be more information a potential buyer would like, and I'm happy to provide it to them. Please feel free to ask!
Why am I finding a new home for it?
I'm between jobs at the moment and the Big Plan has fallen through yet again. Because of that, I'm not looking for trades, sorry. Price may seem a little high, but it includes professional packing, shipping and insurance to the Continental US. As a prior service member, I am willing to discuss shipping to Alaska, Hawaii & FPO/APOs.
Thanks for taking the time to read through and comment!
