Human Base X OC5
original thread from last year SOLD - 2009 Human Base OC X5 Excellent Condition | TalkBass.com

Trades- Mesa carbine M6
Aguilar tone hammer TH500 ,
Fearful 12/6 cab
basses - I'll try anything but I prefer hand crafted type

Trade value 1050

Amazing, high end bass at an affordable price
Can't say enough good things about this bass but I have gone completely old school (P,J basses) and am trying to buy a house so I have to let this go
Outfitted with the very best in electronics:
Delano humbucker with Single Coil switching
Glockenklang 3 band preamp
Spot on fretwork, neck straight as an arrow, low action make this bass effortless to play
Spectacular B string -- Do not be fooled by scale length
34" scale feels great- I use both 35 and 34 and find this very comfortable.

Massive bolt on pocket: This is one hell of a neck joint!

"Delano" white text has partially rubbed off of the pickup covers

Ships in an excellent condition Access padded gig bag

I am all set with MM's. Tempting on the 400 but way too much amp for me. I would be interested in a Mesa M6/M9 Carbine

Can't believe this one is still here. The electronics in these Human basses are incredible. I had one of these several years ago and regret selling. GLWTS.

Nut width? Spacing at bridge? And, finally, where does the top horn stop - by that, I mean is the end of the horn (not strap pin) across from the 13th fret, 12th fret, somewhere in between?

More anecdotally, how does the reach to the first fret feel compared to your typical P-bass?

Thanks, and good luck with the sale.

1.775" at nut, 19mm bridge spacing

The top horn reaches to halfway up the 14th fret
The bass balances perfectly on a strap
Compared to a p bass: this neck has a somewhat fast feel, being a little bit thin front to back but not flimsy. P basses can vary wildly but this is definitely not a chunky baseball bat P neck type.
The bass feels and looks very well thought out in balance, proportion, quality and smoothness of operation.
