Extremely helpful with information about the bass and buying info. Provided receipts, gave me an extra pickguard, and even a fresh gig bag. If I wasn't a broke musician I would have gave a hefty tip. lol Respect Nathan Peck Music!
We did an old school meet up in New York City and it was a real pleasure doing business with Nathan. He’s professional and a good hang. This was a good trade and I made a friend. Couldn’t be happier.

The transaction and shipping of the bass went fine, but after I received it I found an issue. The top neck pickup adjustment screws are seized in place with one screw being stripped, likely due to sweat over time. The rest of the screws are fine. Also there is no adjustment to the pickup heights at all in either direction. This is very likely due to a combination of the screws and the foam getting old and rotting under the pickups, a completely normal maintenance thing that isn't a big deal if I could get the neck pickup out, especially since I've worked on 40+ basses and guitars and am very comfortable with all aspects including wiring and preamp/pickup installs.
The issue though is when I contacted the seller to tell him that I believe he hadn't adjusted pickups and was willing to fix it myself and simply asked about discussing reimbursement for an inexpensive tool to get the screw out, he responded with you should take it to a luthier. I told him I was willing to but not all on my dime as the bass was advertised in excellent condition and this is something we shouldn't need to pay hundreds of dollars for. I've received no further responses from him.
This is total BS. I want this bass for about 10 months bought it from the original owner who never played it out, I took it to one of the greatest techs in the world at Rudy's music in Manhattan, who set it up right before I sold it.
If you can't get a screw out of a pick up, then you don't know what you're doing And you're gonna break things. You can't go back to the buyer and ask for reimbursement for a screw. That's like ridiculous. This sounds like complete amateur BS. This is like trying to return a This sounds like complete amateur BS.
honestly, this sounds more petty than returning a bass because of a string breaking. I mean one screw got stripped? Seriously? I just had this thing gone over meticulously. There is no possible way the screw would break. I also just took those pick ups out myself and sized them up for replacements before ultimately selling the instrument. I've been at this since 1990 and I can't believe this guy would like to press this issue. I have about 18,000 screws laying around I would've just sent this guy screw instead he wanted to talk about "reimbursement cost" here's a penny for your screw man. Thanks for the negative feedback what is this really worth it? That bass is freaking mint and again I stress, hard, one of the greatest techs in the world who has set up Guitars for Alex Skolnick, Joe Satriani, and Jeff Beck did the work on this base and I can assure you every screw is fine. This person doesn't know what they're doing. It should not be handling fine Instruments.
