Upgrading an Ibanez SR300DX

I'm mainly a guitarist, but I've played bass in church and will most likely use it to record. I have this SR300DX that I picked up used a little while ago; I got it set up pretty well with flats, but I'd like to upgrade starting with the hardware.

The main issue is the bridge - it's coming up off the body in the back at a slight angle, and I believe at least one of the mounting holes in the body are stripped out. The bridge mounts with 4 screws, one at each corner. I may take some pictures later so everything's clearer. I already drilled a hole for a strap peg, as the stock hole had been stripped. So I'm not against drilling for a new bridge, and I imagine I might have to.

At least one of the tuners is also having issues, specifically the bushing has stripped or isn't tightening up right. I've looked around for replacements in my budget, and without being sure of the hole diameter, there are Gotohs and Wilkinsons that may fit. They would be 2x2 of the smaller, sealed, "modern," non-Fender etc. type.

Again I'm mainly a guitarist, so though I'm into DIY I'm not very familiar with bass hardware. What do you suggest for upgrading the tuners and bridge? Thanks in advance.

I did some research here and elsewhere - Google, the Ibanez site, other forums - and made a few discoveries. I'm mainly looking into a replacement bridge at this point, as I think sourcing tuners will be easier and the stock bridge is lifting off the bass on the tail end.

The funny thing about the bridge is that mine has 2 mounting screws in the front corners as well, and the 2 in back are where it's lifting up off the body as the holes are getting stripped. I have a set of flats on it in standard tuning, so I don't think it's my fault.

I could order a replacement bridge as this one is bending, but for the money I would rather upgrade.

In looking up info on my specific bass, I searched "ibanez sangria" to make sure I had the right color and found this picture on flickr:

Any idea of what bridge that is? I contacted the user to ask him about replacing the stock.

I'd appreciate any help - I got more response on a more general forum, and I've seen many threads with people offering info on Ibanez replacement parts, etc. Thanks.

The bridge looks like an Accu Cast B100 according to the 2004 parts catalog. I got a response back from the (former) owner saying it was probably stock as it was that way when he got it and said "Ibanez" on the bridge. So I guess they upgraded the newer 300DX's.

Though any of the Accu Cast bridges look better than my stock bridge, I can't find them for sale anywhere online at a reasonable price. I'm assuming they would cost an arm and a leg through Ibanez, so I may try a Gotoh 201.
