What wall hangers do you like? I'm wanting to hang a few guitars and basses. I want something easy to install and VERY secure.

I like these best:

They have arms that grip the neck in front of the nut and the foam has not interacted w/ any finishes. So far.

How securely they are mounted to the wall is up to you.

Many wall anchors are not as strong as desired.

You may want to run a board, screwed from stud to stud, then mount the hangers on It.

I like the String Swing #CC01. They're inexpensive and almost any music store I've been in has had them. They don't have the latching mechanism that the Hercs do but I've never had a problem with basses falling out of the hanger anyway.

I did see these cool looking hand guitar hangers but I'm not paying $40 per hanger...

For me it wasn't so much the hanger as how the hanger was mounted, I used Toggle Bolts so there was NO chance of it pulling out of the wall..

I have a bunch of Stringswing CC151s. They're not exactly easy to install, but they can be adjusted to hang at virtually any angle. They cradle guitars really well.
