Puretone Hippos 6 string J Pickups

'Lo all.

I'm modifying a J-config 6 string; my options for pickups are slightly limited; so far at the top of my list (price/assumed quality) are Puretone Hippos. Even with the shipping from AUS.

Anyone know what they're like to work with... and also, of anyone I can listen to to get an idea of their sound?

I just ordered a set for my KSD V70 J6..... They were the only jazz 6er pickups with the right dimensions... There's not many Jazz style 6 string pickups to chose from and many were too short in length for my bass. I will have them in a week or so... I may post a review.

I just got a set of pickups that look exactly lke these but the seller claimed they were bass mod brand. no matter. they were inexpensive. I'll give them a shot.
