This is a debate that will never end, but the practice will not stop regardless of protests to the contrary. In an effort to find a compromise, I thought I'd get the board's feedback on this idea.
How about a Fender waterslide logo for the headstock that will appease the logo snobs that people may have in their band (or studio, or crowd, or even their own ego...), but that doesn't fully cross over to being a Fender fake and could never be passed off as one if being sold used.
What if it made specific reference to being a Classic Vibe or Vintage Modified instrument, like this:
Those of you who like updating the look of your Squiers - would this be enough?
Those of you who dislike outright fakes - would this appease your sensibilities?
