How many ESP players do we have in here?

Right now, I'm just playing a B-105. I just want to know if anyone else plays an ESP.

I have an ESP LTD B-4E and I really dig it. It doesn't get as much play time as my Jazz basses though. It's still awesome. I'm very happy to own it.

Here are some pictures. I was posting on my niece's iPod (what a blast that was) so I couldn't do it. This bass is absolutely beautiful. I remember going to the guitar shop to pick up a used Squier P bass. My friend was looking at guitars and found the guitar version of the F series. I didn't like the look of it at all but he really did. He brought it over to me and saw the B-4E on the wall. I had overlooked it while glancing. Luckily for me, he convinced me to buy it. It wasn't cheap but we got a good deal for buying both of them. It's a darn good bass. I played it before deciding and was completely impressed.

These pictures aren't the best but it's hard to capture the aesthetic qualities of this bass in a couple of frames.

When I went to go get my ESP after my Squier crapped out on me, I saw the B-5E and absolutely fell in love with it. I digged the tone of the 3 band EQ, but I fell $100 short and had to settle with the B-105 with 2 band EQ. Nonetheless, I still love my B-105.

I hear yah. It's a shame you couldn't get the B-5E. They look so classy. The 3 band EQ is great. I didn't realize how much I liked it until I got my first passive Jazz bass. Until I got the Audere for the Jazz, my LTD was my primary bass.

At least you're still happy with the B-105. :bassist: It looks great. The finish is righteous.

Yeah, even though I really dug the wood finish of the B-105, the gun metal blue finish of my B-105 is great. The one thing I dont like about it is that it's a bolt-on. That's probably why I wanted the 5E so badly. And your right about the 3-band EQ, I don't know what I'm missing!

I've had many different basses, but am glad to say that an F404, red with the tribal inlays, is my main bass. It just seems to "fit like a glove" when I play it. I also have had a couple Spectors, Schecters, Cort Curbows, Peaveys, and currrently also have a Fender and an SX, but honestly I still prefer my ESP to all of them. Like I said it just fits me.

I LOVE real ESPs. ltds not so much but anymore thats all thats reall offered. Sbociol..i LOVE Horizons..even as guitars Horizons kill EVERYTHING. just amazing. i gotta say my only turnoff is that wizard hat headstock. i was angry when ESP went from pointy to the "gym sock headstock" i was super pissed when they went with the wizard hat. other than that headstock you may have one of the coolest ESP basses ever. LOVE the ESP logos on the PUPS

I like the "wizard hat" denomination,I've always known the "c*ckstock" one, which is not exactly glorious :D as soon as I bought my 4 string Horizon II (which unfortunately has been sold to pay some bills :( ) I knew I had to find the 5 string version of it...it took me two years of searching all over the web but finally I found one like one hour away from me,and got it for 350 euros :hyper: it's really an amazing bass, thank you for the compliments ;)

Bought my girlfriend a ESP J4 in Ash for Valentine's Day a couple years back...I usually grab it when needing a passive bass .I tell ya..It blows the dog-snot out of the Fenders being made in America IN MY HONEST OPINION..Buzz is a factory gimme with the big 2..fret or electronics..The quality has always been hi out of ESP-Japan.You'd be surprised at the workers in the big-2 shops..They resemble a Dateline Investigation Special..."So you showed up with wine-coolers & condoms"..."Ya"..."And now I'm installing frets on your bass".."Made with Pride"

I do not own an ESP/LTD bass, but the Local Music Shop had an ESP Surveyor 5 string. It had an ash body with maple neck/board with active EMGs and that thing smoked!

Funny! I bought MadBassPlaya's B-255 and it's awesome. I put in EMG DC40s and the BQS system, wired it up with 18V and it sounds great so far. Plays quite well too, not too far out of the league of my NYC Sadowsky or custom Warmoth-necked bass.
