exotic bass help?

I'm trying to find the website for the guy who built this bass. I know it exists - that's where I got the picture from

If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

That would be a "Tune" bass (http://www.tunebass.com/), build in Japan. I've seen that picture from a Japanese collector site (can't remember which one now), but I don't see it on the Tune site.

Thanks, Mike - I thought it was a Tune but couldn't find the pics either. I can narrow the search a little now

I love the exotic chachinga tops, but I'd have to see that one in person to decide if I like it. Wacky colors and paterns. It would be a great bass for a Grateful Dead or Jefferson Airplane cover band. Like wow man.

It's pretty interesting to say the least.

boalg likes cheap ones (or pointy ones) a little better.

Here's a pic of the whole bass. One thing I noticed is the long upper horn - at least the thing shouldn't dive on you

What's BOALG?

The upper horn isn't really that long - only goes to about the 14th fret - it's just that the upper cutaway is very deep.

My favorite color is blue/purple. I have a 62 bug in that same color. SWEET!

That body looks just cool. i mean i dont really like purple, but that mother-of-pearl-like finish and look is just fascinating... I totally love it
