This was a rather ugly dark blue Fender Jazz V with thick, beat-up poly which I sanded down to bare wood.
The paint was several coats of Krylon "Blue Ocean Breeze", followed by a few of their Triple-Thick Crystal Clear Glaze and several of their acrylic lacquer clear coat. After that, wet sanded with 600, 1200, 1500, 2000 grit, followed by buffing with StewMac Colortone Swirl Remover, then Meguiar's G17216 Ultimate Compound, then 3M Hand Glaze.
I also added the Audere JZ3 preamp.
