Considering a Squier Affinity 5-String Jazz Bass V

I have normally avoided the Affinity name like the plague, but I find myself in need of a 5-string on a tight budget so can't spend a lot of money.

The reviews I read on this bass are pretty good, I mean for the price I wouldn't be expecting a lot but it needs to be able to play in a band right from the get-go.

Any TB experience with this model, the current Affinity model? Good/Bad? fret buzz? noise? etc would be useful.

I know, I'm going to search but I am looking for comments regarding newercurrent model year instruments, not older ones.

I picked up one of these for grins. I find it very playable, and it has a good jazz tone. I have the action fairly low, without any buzz. I own a few nice basses if you notice my sig, and I'm not going to tell you this is my favorite, but it is worth the price for sure.
