Markbass compressore??

Tested it yesterday, my first impressions are excellent.
Construction is very solid, with firm knobs. The unit is completely noiseless, no hum, no nothing!! The compression is very organic, and the tube add's overal "warmth" to your signal. Very pleased with my purchase!

One point of criticism at the website from thomann it says it's shipped with an balanced XLR output, so you could use it as a DI. Well mine came in without an XLR output. I don't blame markbass because on their site it doesn't say anything about such an output. Still it's false advertising from thomann.

I was at the GC in Chicago today. They had a couple of these in stock as well as the DI box.

I didn't plug it in (mainly because compressor are of little personal interest), but I did ask the guy to take it out of the case. Man, that is a big ass pedal...similar to my Assmaster in size. Seems pretty sturdy.

Going price is $250 bucks, I hope it sounds good for their sake.

Also the D.I. Box is $150 in case you wanted to know.

I bought the Markbass Compressore this last Friday from GC, they were having the Labor Day Sale, and I managed to talk the guy down to $200.00.

My first impressions are that it beefs the tone up, the manual is very weak, if I didn't know how to use a compressor I would have been lost. But it sounds good, its a fairly transparent Comp. I have not heard it do any pumping, and its very quite.

I would have rather had a VU meter showing gain reduction, its got a light that lights up during compression. I do like it, and will keep it in the signal chain, I see this being used with the VT bass and a Radial Jdi for recording.
