Dog piss on speaker cone.

For what it's worth, from time to time I wipe down my EV 15's with a damp cloth to clean them up. I don't soak them, but never had a problem. I would try the damp cloth and skip the blow drier. Not sure drying it fast is a good thing.

I used to have a couple 112 monitor wedges that had more crummy beer spilled in them is imaginable. They got pretty soaked a few times. Once I wiped them off and allowed them to dry they functioned just fine. While that isn't dog piss, Oklahoma beer is pretty durned close to it. We only get a max of 3.2% by volume here before it gets slapped with wacky restrictions. I get amused watching out of state'ers get that "bitter beer face" the first time they taste the swill they serve around here.

Maybe go to Petsmart or Petco and buy some Natures Miracle. It is made to naturally clean out those stains from carpet, furniture, etc. It is natural and breaks it down with enzymes, not bleach, detergents, etc. It works great.

DISCLAIMER: I don't know if the above could be bad, good, or make no difference on a speaker. Just a thought on my part. I'm worried that just water would not clean it out. You may want to shoot an email to a speaker manufacturer for their advice.

Dear Ashdown,

My friend's (a guitarist and loyal Marshall Speaker customer) dog pissed on my Ashdown MAG 210T. I don't like the fact there is a piss stain on my beautiful cone, could you send me a new one? Or give me a suggestion to clean it out? Thanks. I'm pretty pissed off.

HILARIOUS!!!!

Great title, got my attention. Really, I'd scrub the outside to get rid of the smell but it might be best to let the cone dry, I've never had problems with the damp cloth thing, just don't soak it. Does anyone know the acidity/ph of dog piss, could this affect cone material or dustcap/surround adhesive? I know beer doesn't seem to bother it much.
