I was looking at musicians friend and guitar centers web sales page and noticed Fender bass guitars as well as guitars have all gone way up in price. I looked at a couple other brands and didn't notice any significant price increases. I wonder what is going on at Fender?

"What's the best bass for metal?"
"P or J?"
"Lined or unlined fretless?"
"Flats or rounds?"
And the beat goes on.....
I really think some of these guy's start these Fender price hike threads because they see soo many responses. They are more worried about having a thread last forever than posting something meaningful. This topic is all over this board and i'm sure the op has seen the other post! I own 10 Fenders and could care less as a Fender owner how much they cost! It's allway's the " I was looking at Fender basses and I noticed their prices went up" crowd writing these threads. Bottom line is if the bass is too expensive buy used or get something else period! JMHO

to the op, yes the price increase sucks. if everyone stopped purchasing Fender products then the prices may drop. Will that ever happen..doubtful.
There has been for the past two weeks at least one thread about Fender price increases on one of the main two pages at all time. No need to live and breathe here and no need to even use the search feature. Check the first or second page before posting is all you need to do.
