So I called Marc at Dr Bass about a 2X15 cab, and here are the pics

This is the new concert series from DR bass... 23 wide, 17.5 deep & 34 tall, Neo 15 drivers, ~800 watts and only weighs 72 pounds ~ $850 shipped.... Me thinks I'll make one mine, oh yes!

I really, really like his placement of the wheels. That looks stable as hell. And those handles look reasonably comfy compared to an Ampeg's stainless steel handlebar.

BIG BIG NEGATIVE, is the lack of rear sliding rails. He needs to tracks/rails of square plastic so that thing can be slid out of a truck or van. Look at the back of an Ampeg 610 or 810 cab to see what I'm talking about. It's a UHMW polyurethane square stock, running the height of the cabinet. It protects the back wall and input jack plate from getting scraped up when transporting.

I just noticed: 72 lbs! Imagine this cab with the Peavey VB-3 (37 lbs) when they both come out: 300-watt tube head, 2X15 cab, total weight <110 lbs.

Mind-boggling. (Caveat: No one's heard either one yet.)

Very nice. This is quite similar to something I'd been envisioning recently. Seems like one back handle might have been enough, thus leaving a bit more internal volume?

I like the wheels and the attenuators on the side.

Good idea about adding back rails. Looks like his already has a gouge (lower right, in the pic of it on the table).

Any idea of the width? Any specs, for what they're worth?

Thanks.

er, first post 23.5 wide, 17 deep, ~36 tall. That's all I know, based on a short conversation with Marc - also 4 - 6 week wait.

+1 on the rails, but an easy home mod too.

those can be installed easily though? like adding some rails on the bottom of old skateboards

You are correct about the rails, but I have checked everywhere from Penn Fab to skateboard shops and can't find them.

Maybe roll your own? You can buy HDPE (high density polyethylene) stock from McMaster-Carr in various sizes and densities. It's pretty easy to machine IME.
