Check out that unit. It will allow you to switch the signal flow to your speaker. You can use one head and then switch to the other. 810HPC - like you said, is purely a 4 ohm cab and is not two separate 410's, so the best you can do is one head at a time. Radial makes some nice products - I use them all the time.

yep, Radial, grrrrrreat stuff.

The Headbone looks like a cool box (i want one) but... This device seems to be made only for use in "two valve" tube heads.

I assume they're referring to power tubes... Your SVT-II has six and is rated at 300watt.
I couldn't find specific info, but it sounds to me like the "VT and TS" headbones are only made to handle 50 to 100 watt tube amps.

I certainly wouldn't use one of these with my SVT-II.

Your post led me to believe you want to run both heads simultaneously into your single cab.

You could "stereo-wire" a regular Ampeg 810E 8x10 cab by splitting up 2 groups of 4 speakers each and re-wiring the origanal input jacks as two separate inputs to use with two separate amps simultaneously.

I could be wrong, but I dont think 1/2 of an 810E's origanal speakers (or yours) could be wired to a safe ohm configuration for use your SVT-II that requires a 2 or 4 ohm speaker load.

I looked up your cab. It doesn't seem to be a very good candidate for a stereo conversion anyway.

Your cabs (single) High Frequency Horn Level Control is made to attenuate the High Frequency drivers built right into two of your speakers, so this particular feature makes it kinda hard to split these two speakers up, to run one with each amp.

If the issue of the high frequency control and the H-F portion of those two special drivers could be worked out (or just simply disconnected) along with the ohm issues, the two amp/one cab thing would function, but whether or not it would actually sound good or not is another good question I cant answer.

I would e-mail Radial about what kind of wattage the pedals can handle.

It would be a lot simpler to just switch the heads live into the cab and have your band talk to the audience while you do it. I know it's a pain in the butt, it's cheaper though! Then you know you won't have any issues with power and possible tone loss.

I know you probably have your heart set using both amps - I suggest using the Sunn head only and make it work for whatever you need it to. But that is your call. What are the tone differences you hear between the two heads?
