hello tb'ers
I bought a squire modified vintage fretless bass a week ago. This bass is amazing for the price, I'm in love with the thing.
anyways, it has a nasty buzz... not just the "turn up both PUs and it goes away" sort of buzz, it quite bad & sounds like a grounding problem.
Anyways, I took the control cavity cover off & found that the output jack only has one wire on it. should the ground not be hooked up to something? there is a dab of solder on it like there was a wire on it, but there is no loose wire in the cavity.
does someone have one of these basses (or any passive squire) who could have a look at theirs & let me know how it's wired? i can add the wire myself if needed, I just know where to attach it
thanks!
